Nuclear power generation

Nuclear Power Generation/Green Energy - Science Museum Exhibits Program

Science Behind It

Nuclear power generation is a method of generating electricity by utilizing the heat energy released by nuclear fission in a nuclear reactor. It is extremely similar to thermal power generation. Just using nuclear reactors and steam generators instead of boilers for thermal power generation, and using nuclear fission energy instead of chemical energy from mineral fuels. source factory of science museum exhibits - Shanghai Inertia Automation Co., Ltd. Reminder: Except for boiling water reactors (see light water reactors), other types of power reactors are heated by the coolant in the first loop through the core, and the heat is transferred to the water in the second or third loop in the steam generator, which then forms steam to drive the steam turbine generator. source factory of science museum exhibits - Shanghai Inertia Automation Co., Ltd. A boiling water reactor is a system where the coolant in the primary loop is heated at the core of the reactor to become saturated steam at around 70 atmospheres, which is then separated and dried before directly driving the steam turbine generator.

Exhibition items description

The exhibition items consist of exhibition booths, nuclear power generation photovoltaic models, touch screens, and other main components. The audience watches the nuclear power generation model to understand the basic structure of nuclear power generation, source factory of science museum exhibits - Shanghai Inertia Automation Co., Ltd.
