1. Content
The exhibition items consist of a background wall, horizontal sliding bars, patterned light boxes, and hard plastic grilles. Set up 5 sets of raster animations on the background wall, with the theme of "dreams", to showcase fantastic and interesting animation plots. The patterned lightbox and the grille plastic sheet are located in the interlayer of the background board. The outer side of the graphic lightbox is a hard plastic sheet with transparent and black lines alternating. The hard plastic sheet is connected to the sliding rod. Visitors can operate the direction and speed of the grille plastic sheet through the protruding sliding rod below the opening to observe the magical moir é phenomenon.
2. Principle
Moir é pattern is an interference image generated by overlapping fence like stripes. Moir é pattern is actually a manifestation of the principle of beat, where stripes with slight differences in spatial frequency are superimposed. Due to the differences in stripe spacing and overlapping positions, they gradually shift, forming beat.
3. Purpose
Through interesting animated plots, participants can learn about the magical phenomenon of moir é patterns through interaction and experience the joy of science.
