1. Content
Exhibition items mainly consist of exhibition booths, disks, metal eggs, coils, magnets, protective covers, light strips, handwheels, and start buttons. A protective cover is installed above the disc to prevent direct contact with the audience and ensure the stability of the exhibits. There is a silver egg placed on top of the disc, and three coils or magnets placed at a 120 degree angle to each other below the disc. The audience presses the start button or shakes the handle to apply three-phase AC power to the three coils. At this time, the silver egg in the disc will rotate, and as the speed increases, the silver egg will stand upright. The silver egg rotates and stands for about 3-4 seconds to recover, making it easy to operate again.
2. Principle
Three phase alternating current is a form of transmission of electrical energy, abbreviated as three-phase electricity. A three-phase AC power supply is a power supply composed of three AC potentials with the same frequency, equal amplitude, and phase difference of 120 ° in sequence. There are many uses for three-phase AC power, and most AC electrical equipment in industry, such as electric motors, use three-phase AC power, commonly known as the three-phase four wire system. In daily life, single-phase power supply, also known as lighting electricity, is commonly used. When using lighting electricity for power supply, one of the three-phase electricity is used to power the relative electrical equipment, such as household appliances, while the other wire is the fourth wire among the three-phase four wires, which is the neutral wire drawn from the neutral point of the three-phase electricity.
A three-phase asynchronous motor is a type of motor that is powered by a 380V three-phase AC power supply (with a phase difference of 120 degrees). Due to the fact that the rotor and stator of a three-phase asynchronous motor rotate in the same direction but at different speeds, there is a slip rate, hence it is called a three-phase asynchronous motor.
When three-phase symmetrical alternating current is applied to the stator winding of an electric motor, a rotating magnetic field is generated, which cuts the rotor winding and induces current in the rotor winding (the rotor winding is a closed path). The current carrying rotor conductor will generate electromagnetic force under the action of the stator rotating magnetic field, thereby forming electromagnetic torque on the motor shaft, driving the motor to rotate in the same direction as the rotating magnetic field
When a conductor cuts magnetic lines in a magnetic field, an induced current is generated inside the conductor, hence the name "induction motor". The combined effect of induced current and magnetic field applies driving force to the motor rotor.
3. Display purpose
Exhibition items introduce the relevant knowledge of the rotating magnetic field generated by three-phase AC power and the basic working principle of three-phase asynchronous induction motors to the audience through electromechanical interaction.
