Fresnel lens - customized science museum exhibitions, campus community science popularization equipment, source manufacturer of science exhibitions, exhibition description and scientific principle introduction:
Operating instructions: Observe the object through a Fresnel lens and observe any changes. Function overview: The continuous surface part of the lens "collapses" onto a plane. From the cross-section, its surface is composed of a series of serrated grooves, and the central part is an elliptical arc. Each groove has a different angle with adjacent grooves, but they all concentrate the light in one place, forming the central focal point, which is the focal point of the lens. Each groove can be seen as an independent small lens, adjusting light rays into parallel or focused light. This lens can also eliminate some spherical aberration. Viewers can observe objects in their hands up close through a Fresnel lens, as well as objects in the distance, to understand the working principle of Fresnel lenses.
