Display Method: Mechanical Interaction
Display content: Exhibition items mainly showcase the novel and interesting stress birefringence phenomenon in the optical path.
The audience holds the handles around the turntable and rotates it, allowing the small discs to roll freely inside the turntable. At this point, through the polarizing film, it can be observed that under illumination, the photoelastic material forms different optical chain changes due to mutual compression; Viewers can also pick up the interactive slider on one side of the turntable, attach it to the surface of the turntable, attract its internal circular magnet, and make it swim inside the photoelastic material, thereby driving them to move and squeeze each other. The constantly changing stress light chain effect can also be observed.
Technical parameters: self-made small disc, with a smooth and flat surface and no bubbles inside; Internal power sources must use DC power sources with voltages below 36V.
