Exhibition Description
Exhibitions are located in the Children's Happy City exhibition area. As shown in the above figure, exhibitions consist of a sand table system and a projection device. When the shape of the sand is changed, different landforms are projected, displaying mountains, rivers, and hydrology. Children are playing games on the console. When you build a small hill on the terrain, the red color represents the high terrain. When you dig a shallow pit, the green color represents the low terrain. If you continue to dig, it will turn blue, indicating that it is an ocean or river.
Presentation format and purpose
Exhibition items utilize multimedia display format to showcase contour knowledge of altitude, understand closed curves, understand how numerical values are transformed into shapes, and reflect terrain.
Exhibition Content
Contour lines refer to the closed curves formed by adjacent points of equal elevation on a topographic map. A closed curve is formed by connecting points with the same elevation on the ground, projecting them vertically onto a horizontal plane, and proportionally scaling them on a drawing to obtain contour lines. Contour lines can also be seen as the intersection of horizontal planes at different altitudes with the actual ground, so contour lines are closed curves. The number marked on the contour line is the altitude of the contour line. Contour features:
1. Ground points located on the same contour line with the same elevation. But points with the same altitude may not necessarily be located on the same contour line.
2. Except for cliffs, contour lines of different elevations cannot intersect.
3. The height difference between adjacent contour lines within the contour is generally the same, so the ground slope is inversely proportional to the contour line spacing between contour lines. The smaller the contour line spacing, the denser the contour line arrangement, indicating a larger ground slope; The larger the contour line spacing and the sparser the contour line arrangement, the smaller the ground slope.
4. A contour line is a closed curve, and if it cannot be closed within the same frame, it must be closed within adjacent or other frames.
5. When contour lines pass through ridges or valleys, they change direction. Therefore, the ridge or valley line is perpendicular to the tangent line at the turning point of the contour line, that is, the contour line is orthogonal to the ridge or valley line.

1. Start the program on standby, the camera recognizes the uneven terrain, connects the points with the same elevation on the ground into a closed curve, and projects it vertically onto a horizontal plane to achieve contour effect/
Contour lines appear around the interactive highland, projecting the color of the mountain on the sandy slope/
