Science Behind It

The phenomenon of positive and negative charges colliding and discharging. In summer, hot air rises and rubs against small water droplets, dust, and other particles in the sky, generating and accumulating a large amount of positive or negative charges in clouds. Collisions between clouds with different charges, or strong charges from low-level clouds breaking through the air and reaching the ground, can result in lightning and thunder. On thunderstorm days, it is best not to be under big trees or in open areas, in order to avoid being at the tip of lightning connection (tip discharge) and being injured by lightning.
