Exhibition Description

The image of an object is transmitted to the brain through the eyes, and processed by the brain to help us understand. However, our brain tends to process objects into familiar shapes when dealing with their appearance, discarding unnecessary details or filling in missing ones. The edges of the model openings in the exhibits are neither simple straight lines nor arcs, but rather concave on one side and convex on the other, resembling a lying S-shape. When viewed from the concave side, the convex curve looks more like a circular arc, and the brain interprets this peculiar geometry as a familiar cylinder. At this point, the object in the mirror appears more like a straight line when viewed from the convex side, while the concave curve on the opposite side appears more like a straight line. The brain interprets it as a familiar rectangular prism.

Operating instructions: 1. Observe the shape of the opening above the model; 2. Rotate the turntable to a certain angle, observe and compare the actual shape of the model with its shape in the mirror.

Function Overview: Exhibition items consist of flat mirrors, specially designed model groups, and rotatable turntables. By rotating the turntable and comparing the physical model with the image formed in the mirror, it can be observed that the shape of the object is different. Think about why this is different?

Dimensions

Specification size: 0.75 × 0.68 × 0.9 meters.

exhibits materials:

① Exhibition booth: Bottom cabinet sheet metal/injection molding, thickness ≥ 1.2mm

② Tabletop: Cambert board, thickness ≥ 12mm

③ Instruction board: Acrylic UV spray painting

④ Tabletop fixing components: standard triangle lock

Product structure: Designed with a science museum booth. The booth is made of 1.2mm galvanized steel plate/integrated injection molding. The tabletop is made of 12mm anti PET plate, with internal carbon steel and damping shock pads, reserved heat dissipation holes, and equipped with leakage protection devices. The modular design is convenient for later maintenance, and all sheet metal components are treated with electrostatic spraying technology.
