Science Behind It
When the human eye observes a scene, light signals are transmitted to the brain through the optic nerve to form vision. However, after the effect of light ends, the visual image in the brain does not immediately disappear, but stays for 0.1 to 0.4 seconds, which is the phenomenon of visual persistence in the human eye. The strobe light flashes at a certain frequency. Adjust the strobe frequency. If the strobe light frequency matches the motor speed, the letters on the dial will tend to be stationary or move slowly. Mainly because if the turntable flashes every time, the letters on the turntable are in the same position, giving people a feeling that the letters are "stationary". But if the dial letters stay in different positions every time they flash, it appears to be moving slowly forward or backward. This principle can be used to detect the speed and stability of electric fans, measure the flow velocity and direction of water droplets, etc.
