Exhibition Name
Balance testing
Science Behind It
Balance ability is a type of physical fitness that refers to the ability to resist external forces that disrupt balance and maintain a stable state throughout the body. The balance of the human body is related to the eyes, limbs, brain, ears, and cerebellum. The vestibule in the ears is a balance sensor that transmits balance information to the brain. The brain command center receives intelligence from the front line, analyzes and processes it, and sends the cerebellum to complete the task of regulating human balance. Therefore, the cerebellum sends instructions to the muscles and joints to coordinate and maintain balance. The phenomenon of motion sickness and seasickness during transportation and boating is a manifestation of the human body losing balance, and training can improve one's balance ability. The tightrope walker is the best example.
