A beating heart
Exhibition Description
Operating instructions: Press the start button to observe the changes in the pattern.
Function Overview: Exhibition items are composed of a turntable drive mechanism and a heartbeat interference pattern combination. When the start button is pressed, the motor drives the grating to rotate, and the optical illusion caused by Moir é fringes can be seen.
Scientific principle: Moir é fringes are the visual result of interference between two lines or objects at a constant angle and frequency. When the human eye cannot distinguish between these two lines or objects, only the interference pattern can be seen. The pattern in this optical phenomenon is Moir é fringes.
