Principle of Electric Motor - Customization of Science Museum Exhibitions, Campus Community Science Popularization Equipment, Source Manufacturer of Science Exhibitions Description and Introduction of Scientific Principles:

Operating instructions: Pull the handle and approach the rotor to observe its movement status. Function Overview: This exhibition item visually illustrates the process of converting electrical energy into mechanical energy in a sectional view of a generator. To make the motor work, the motor coil must be in a magnetic field. Therefore, we need to place two magnets close to the coil to make the motor work. A metal disk added between the two poles of a permanent magnet, when a current passes through the disk in the radial direction, the magnetic field exerts a force (Ampere force) on the current, causing the disk to rotate. By exhibiting, the audience can understand Ampere's force and reveal the working principle of DC motors. Rotate the handwheel to drive the rotor of the generator to rotate and observe the changes in the light bulb. Participants held metal rods and inserted them from three different positions, with varying distances from the magnetic field resulting in different rotational speeds and Ampere forces on the copper disk. The closer the distance from the magnetic field, the faster the rotation speed of the copper disk, while the farther it is from the magnetic field, the slower the speed of the copper disk.
