1. Content

Exhibition items mainly consist of a platform, storage box, module, card slot, background board, scale, etc. An interactive device is erected on the platform, with two upright card slots on both sides for placing modules. All modules are stored in storage boxes on both sides of the card slot, with the same width but different lengths of 1 cm , 2cm , 4cm , 8cm , 16cm , 32cm , 64cm , 128cm , If the participant's height is 100cm, they can choose to combine 4cm, 32cm, and 64cm to form their own height. Set a height scale on one side of the card slot. When two audience members participate in the interaction, they stand at designated positions on the platform, use the wall scale to measure their height, then mentally calculate their height into a binary expression, put different modules into the card slot to form their own height, and finally add the values to obtain their own height.

2. Principle

Binary is a widely used numerical system in computing technology. Binary data is a number represented by two digits, 0 and 1. Its cardinality is 2, the carry rule is "every two to one", and the borrow rule is "borrow one as two", discovered by the German philosopher Leibniz in the 18th century. The current computer systems mainly use binary systems, where data is mainly stored in the form of complement codes. Binary in computers is a very small switch, represented by "on" for 1 and "off" for 0.

3. Display purpose

Exhibition items allow viewers to experience the binary expression of decimal numbers and learn about binary counting through simple and interesting interactive methods.
