Radius and Perimeter - Customization of Science Museum Exhibitions, Campus Community Science Popularization Equipment, Source Manufacturer of Science Exhibitions Description and Introduction of Scientific Principles:
The exhibition items consist of two groups of demonstrations, one demonstrating pi and the other demonstrating the relationship between perimeter and radius. On the left is a ruler with numbers and a fan-shaped structure. When the handwheel is turned, the fan-shaped structure will retract and expand. On the right are two disc structures, one large and one small. When the handwheel is turned, both discs rotate simultaneously. After the large circle rotates once, the small circle just turns three times. The audience can clearly understand the relationship between circumference and radius through interactive devices. When a line segment rotates around one of its endpoints in a plane, the trajectory of its other endpoint is called a circle. The line segment connecting the center of a circle and any point on the circle is called the radius, represented by the letter r. The circumference of a circle is C=2 π r=π d. Among them, π refers to the pi, which is generally taken as 3.14.
