1. Content:
The exhibition items mainly consist of an optical turntable and a control panel. There are a total of 8 types of optical turntables, with each group consisting of four types. They are the mutated circular disc, physiological optical illusion disc, strobe disc, mixed color disc, spiral disc, receding wall, twisted palm, and Banhan's disc.
2. Principle:
Visual persistence
When an object is in rapid motion, even after the image seen by the human eye disappears, the human eye can still retain its image for about 0.1-0.4 seconds. This phenomenon is called visual persistence. When the human eye observes an object, it forms an image on the retina and is input to the human brain by the optic nerve, sensing the image of the object. But when an object is moved, the impression of the optic nerve on the object does not immediately disappear, but continues for 0.1 -The property of the human eye, which lasts for 0.4 seconds, is called 'visual persistence of the eye'.
3. Purpose:
This exhibition consists of two groups, with four in each group. The audience rotates the turntable to observe the pattern effect on the disc and understand the principles and characteristics of vision.
